International Research Training Group IGDK 1754

Optimization and Numerical Analysis for Partial Differential Equations with Nonsmooth Structures

The international research training group (IGDK 1754) “Optimization and Numerical Analysis for Partial Differential Equations with Nonsmooth Structures” is funded by German Research Foundation (DFG) and Austrian Science Fund (FWF). It started on March 1, 2012.

This is a joint project of the following four universities:

Technische Universität
München (TUM)
Universität der Bundeswehr
München (UniBw)
Karl-Franzens-Universität
Graz (KFU)
Technische Universität
Graz (TUG)

The speakers are Prof. Dr. Boris Vexler (TUM) and Prof. Dr. Karl Kunisch (KFU)

All doctoral students in the IGDK1754 at the TUM will become members of the International School of Applied Mathematics (ISAM) within its umbrella organization TUM Graduate School (TUM GS). The doctoral students will benefit from multifaceted offers of TUM GS.
