Winterschool "Simulation and Optimization of Extreme Fluids"

Heidelberg University - Interdisciplinary Center for Scientific Computing (IWR)

November 13 - 14, 2013.

Subsequent to the International Symposium on Simulation and Optimization of Extreme Fluids the winterschool on “Simulation and Optimization of Extreme Fluids” will take place at Interdisciplinary Center for Scientific Computing (IWR) in Heidelberg from November 13 to November 14, 2014.

The winterschool is organized among others by the IGDK 1754.

Organizers are among others Boris Vexler (TUM) and Dominik Meidner (TUM) who are principal investigator and mentor of the IGDK 1754.

All details about the winterschool please find on the winterschool's website.

Lecturers:
  • Volker Schulz (University of Trier)
  • Thomas Wick (RICAM, Linz).

Topics:
This winter school will foster advanced knowledge for the participating graduate students in several areas related to simulation and optimization of extreme fluids. Within this broad field the winter school will concentrate on the key issues

  • Shape Optimization (Lecturer: Volker Schulz)
  • Fluid Structure Interaction (Lecturer: Thomas Wick)
