Course content
The 14h short course will cover fundamentals of the DPG method. This will be a blackboard math class occasionally complemented with a few slides showing sample numerical results. The course will be based on the last chapter of lecture notes on Mathematical Theory of Finite Elements which I hope to have completed at the time.

Lectures 1-2: An overview of theory of variational (weak) formulations and relevant facts from Functional Analysis
Lectures 3-4: Three hats of the Ideal and Practical Petrov-Galerkin Methods with Optimal Test Functions
Tuesday, 5th May
Lectures 5-8: Breaking the forms and test spaces
Wednesday, 6th May
Lectures 9-10: Extensions to Maxwell problems
Lectures 11-12: Construction of Fortin operators
Thursday, 7th May
Lectures 13-14: The double adaptivity method
All participants receive a confirmation certificate for 14 credit hours
